59% less emissions
There’s an explosive new study out that indicates that plant-based diets produce 59% less greenhouse gas emissions than their meat counterparts. Once again, science has clearly shown the direct link between animal agriculture and our eco-crisis.
In the study, the authors state that “policies encouraging sustainable diets should focus on plant-based diets,” something all of us in the plant-based protein space would wholeheartedly applaud. The authors continue by saying, “Healthier diets had lower GHG emissions, demonstrating consistency between planetary and personal health.”
As the publication, Plant Based News, also points out, it’s not just emissions that diet affects. They write, “Our food choices contribute to air and water quality, soil health, biodiversity, all encapsulated within climate breakdown.”
Our commitment to the health of the planet and all of the beings we share it with is in every bite of our Asante products.
