Consumers` tastebuds will travel around the around the world in 2022
What’s the #1 trend for 2022 in the food world? Well according to one of the world’s leading taste and nutrition companies, it’s the desire for consumers to explore new versions (i.e., plant-based) of traditional tastes and flavors. Simply put, they want to travel the world through their tastebuds.
The website Vegconomist wrote, “Trends that were accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic have developed and will become more sophisticated this year, with consumers seeking new tastes paired with familiar formats and flavours.”
Instead of relying on the same-old, same-old staples that got them through the pandemic, foodies are seeking “surprise and fun” from their foods. The report’s authors specifically call out Mexican, Thai and Korean cuisines as being high on the growth expectancy list.
All of our Asanté products are authentic, traditional Mexican favorites in a healthy, sustainable, cruelty-free plant-based version. And for those who are concerned about replacing animal protein with plant protein, we pack 10-12 grams of protein into every serving of Asanté so no one will ever ask where you get your protein from!
And as if this wasn’t enough good news, the authors also expect huge gains in the mushroom space and our new plant-based, gluten-free Filet Asada is made from, you guessed it, mushroom protein.
We just love behind slightly ahead of the curve at Asanté.
